IBM has acquired data analysis and cost-assessment firm PSS Systems for an undisclosed sum. Privately held PSS provides software that analyses data governance policy and disposal of information. According to IBM, PSS software is primarily targeted at chief legal officers as well as IT executives. PSSs premier suite is called Atlas, and its client list includes GE, ConocoPhillips and Pfizer.
