Couchbase Looks To Resolve AI Agent Data Dilemmas With Database Addition

New Products

Summary

Couchbase launched its AI Data Plane to give enterprises a single governed data layer for production AI agents. The platform combines persistent agent memory, real-time context retrieval, vectors, documents, and cache across cloud, edge, and lakehouse environments. Couchbase also expanded Enterprise Analytics 2.2 and added support for Apache Iceberg federation, with a Trino adaptor planned for later in the year. The company positioned the release as a way to simplify fragmented AI data infrastructure and reduce latency and token costs.
