Tampa Bay, FL, November 11, 2012 --( PR.com )-- A little bit can go a long way--that much has always been clear to the veterans charity, Healing Heroes Network.After being selected as one of ten "finalists," the Mike Alstott Family Foundation posted a contest on their Facebook page for fans to "vote" for their favorite charity to win the grant.On October 16, 2012, HHN had the most votes at 1712, 381 votes higher than the second place charity.The Mike Alstott Family Foundation will be awarding the grant to HHN to use towards their Welcome Home, Hero program, which provides financial assistance to military families of wounded service members injured in Iraq or Afghanistan since 9/11/01 to use towards basic necessities, including food, shelter, bills, and travel.
