East Haddam, CT, August 22, 2015 --( The goal of the artist-in-residency program is to enrich the traditional creative process involved in bringing a music project from concept to concert.The Ensemble Mise-en musicians are: Maria Johnson (flute), Carlos Cordeiro (clarinet), Mark Broschinsky (trombone), Yumi Suehiro (piano), Sabina Torsian (violin) and Evan Runyon (contrabass).Ensemble Mise-en’s mission is to create a concert experience that encourages engagement with its audiences through educational workshops and interactive presentations – while providing the public with meaningful connections to the incredibly vast, diverse and growing body of contemporary compositions.).The Ensemble Mise-en musicians are: Maria Johnson (flute), Carlos Cordeiro (clarinet), Mark Broschinsky (trombone), Yumi Suehiro (piano), Sabina Torsian (violin) and Evan Runyon (contrabass).The invited composers were asked to write a semi-complete composition written specifically for this orchestration.The ensemble has performed at a variety of exciting venues such as (le) poisson rouge, Bohemian National Hall, the Tank, the DiMenna Center, Tenri Cultural Institute, The Invisible Dog Art Center and the cell.Ensemble Mise-en’s mission is to create a concert experience that encourages engagement with its audiences through educational workshops and interactive presentations – while providing the public with meaningful connections to the incredibly vast, diverse and growing body of contemporary compositions.
