Casey, CEM, had been in the trade show and meetings business for more than 26 years before accepting his current position as president & CEO of the High Point Market Authority last spring.Prior to joining Smith Bucklin, Brian served as managing director of trade shows for the International Housewares Association for a dozen years.The International Housewares Exposition at that time was the sixth largest trade show in the country with nearly 1,900 exhibitors occupying approximately 1.4 million square feet of exhibit space that attracted 60,000 people from all over the world.The industry sectors these events represented were technology, healthcare, manufacturing and financial services.From 1991 to 1998, Brian served as director of trade shows for Smith Bucklin, responsible for launching a brand new service division for SBA.The International Housewares Exposition at that time was the sixth largest trade show in the country with nearly 1,900 exhibitors occupying approximately 1.4 million square feet of exhibit space that attracted 60,000 people from all over the world.
