Planet Aid and ADPP Donate Clothing to Angolan Families in West Africa

Baltimore, MD, September 17, 2011 --( The project was the result of a $190,000 grant provided by Planet Aid to ADPP Angola, a local NGO, in December 2010.ADPP staff, community volunteers, and local government representatives distributed clothing to 13 municipalities in Huambo, Kwanza Norte, Malanje, and Uige provinces.Surviving on less than a dollar a day per capita, many families are unable to secure basic necessities beyond food and shelter.Planet Aid is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used clothing and shoes and supports international development projects.Clothing was distributed to 19,914 families in rural areas.The project was the result of a $190,000 grant provided by Planet Aid to ADPP Angola, a local NGO, in December 2010.
