Chicago, IL, June 05, 2013 --( Since the establishment of Humanity First Guatemala in 2010 under the leadership of Mr. Gonzalez, volunteers from across the world have joined hands to provide much needed care and services to empower thousands of impoverished Guatemalans.Speakers will include Humanity First USA leadership, as well as Dr. Richard Geiser, Clinical Professor Emeritus of Ophthalmology at the Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.With a global volunteer team of medical, logistics, engineering and teaching professionals, over 90% of funds go to the field, where the value of the aid is even greater.Speakers will include Humanity First USA leadership, as well as Dr. Richard Geiser, Clinical Professor Emeritus of Ophthalmology at the Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.Not only does Humanity First provide surgical and basic medical services, but programs have been developed to empower Guatemalans by providing educational services for youth, vocational training for women, and clean, sustainable water while creating employment opportunities.Mr. Gonzalez will spend the week in Chicago meeting with local Latino and Guatemalan organizations and leaders in order to raise more awareness about these projects being carried out in Guatemala and create partnerships to collaborate with like-minded organizations, and expand the humanitarian efforts from Latinos in need.Tickets are still available for the June 8th Night for Sight event that will be held at 7pm in Lisle, Illinois.
