The Institute for Church Safety and Risk Management Forms Strategic Alliance with National Churchwatch Group from the United Kingdom

Tupelo, MS, March 21, 2010 --( Appointed in April 2000 as the National Churchwatch Co-ordinator Nick runs more than 60 seminars a year in the United Kingdom for all Christian denominations on clergy safety and other church crime issues.In 2010 Nick became a Fellow of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust (FWCMT) and was awarded a research grant to travel to the United States of America to study how churches in the USA deal with Crime.The Institute for Church Safety is excited to serve as the US sponsor for this study and assist Nick with setting up appointments and accomodations while visiting the United States.“The UK has a rich history of some of the most beautiful churches in the worl and a rich history of eloquent preachers” adds Boutot, “unfortunatley, of the over 16,000 beautiful churches throughout the UK, over 70% are closed to their communities because they fear crime.” In 2009 Nick was presented with the “Personal Safety Champion of the UK” award by the Suzy Lampugh Trust for his work in reducing violence against Churchworkers.The Institute for Church Safety is excited to serve as the US sponsor for this study and assist Nick with setting up appointments and accomodations while visiting the United States.
