Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam Srl, a Capua (Caserta), Italy-based company that designs and manufactures General Aviation aeroplanes, has received a €6,5m equity financing.Fondo Italiano di Investimento will take a minority stake in the company, which intends to use the funds to consolidate their leading position in the light aircraft sector and enter in the passenger aircraft market.Founded in 1986 by Prof. Luigi Pascale and his brother Giovanni Pascale, Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam designs, develops and manufactures single and twin engine aeroplanes for general aviation.To date, the company has sold over 3,400 aeroplanes in more than 50 countries worldwide.Customers are supported by a global network of over 60 dealers and 100 Tecnam Service Centres.
