Sierra Ventures Adds Jim Doehrman as Operating Partner

San Mateo, CA-based venture capital firm Sierra Ventures added Jim Doehrman as an Operating Partner.Doehrman, an operational and financial specialist, most recently served as CFO and SVP at Xtime, preparing the company’s back office for an IPO, and then engineered a $325M sale to Cox Automotive in November 2014.Prior to Xtime, as CFO, he led Gracenote to a $265M sale to Sony.At Sierra Ventures, Doehrman is responsible for increasing portfolio companies’ value by delivering operational guidance and corporate development strategy to maximize growth and profitability.Additionally, he will oversee Sierra Ventures’ finance, investor relations, back-office administration, and corporate marketing.
