FireLayers, a San Francisco, California and Netanya, Israel-based provider of a security, compliance and IT governance platform for cloud applications, received a funding from YL Ventures.Co-founded in 2013 by Yair Grindlinger, CEO, and Doron Elgressy, President, FireLayers emerged from stealth mode to introduce a policy-based, unifying platform that enables organizations to adopt cloud applications on their own terms.The solution allows IT departments to deploy predefined and customizable rule-sets for applications like Salesforce, Office 365, Yammer, Workday, etc and IT and security managers to use or create predefined rule-sets tailored to their specific workplace.An Open API enables integration with 3rd party add-ons for encryption, anti-malware, DLP, behavior-based analysis.Yoav Andrew Leitersdorf, YL Ventures Managing Partner, is FireLayers’ Board Member.
