Microsofts Bethesda, ZeniMax Buyout Has Been Approved In the US

The intent was to acquire all of the studios that ZeniMax owned, including Arkane, Bethesda Softworks, and id Software. The deal will give Microsoft some major franchises in the future, as it will own Doom, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls, to name a few. There were concerns that a lawsuit involving Fallout 4 could slow down Microsofts purchase of ZeniMax Media, but that no longer appears to be the case. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has confirmed that Microsofts acquisition of ZeniMax has been approved by regulators, putting the deal a massive step closer to completion. The Xbox brand has been lagging when it comes to exclusives and this is the exact boost that the line of systems needs in the current console generation.
