FIFA 18 revealed in new trailer, Nintendo Switch getting an inferior version
Summary
This is the same game engine that was recently utilized in Battlefield 1, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Mirrors Edge: Catalyst. FIFA 17 also offered a single player mode called "The Journey", which allowed gamers to control Premier Leagues next rising star, Alex Hunter. As one can gather from the reveal trailer above, Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for the Spanish club Real Madrid, will be featured as the cover athlete for FIFA 18. Although it confirms that the game will be utilizing the Frostbite engine once again and will feature a second season of "The Journey", it states that both these advancements will only be available on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. This implies that gamers playing FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch, will not only be offered a toned down version of the title, but will also be missing out on a major single-player campaign mode.
