Rahul later told reporters he met the ailing leader.“I wanted to come and see Karunanidhi ji and stand with him. However, the bulletin said an extended period of hospitalisation will be necessary due to age-related overall decline in Karunanidhis general health, altered liver function, and hematological parameters.The DMK patriarch was rushed to the private hospital in Alwarpet at 1.30 am on Saturday last following a drop in his blood pressure.
