Blink projections shut down for over an hour Friday due to weather

General News

Summary

Some of Blinks projection mapping installations were shut down Friday night for about an hour due to rain, said Game Day director of media and creative services Rich Walburg. However, Blinks projectors use expensive, high technology and the decision was made to turn off some installations to decrease the likelihood of damage from the wet weather. Blink artists and organizers also wanted to ensure that the installations could be saved to operate in the drier weather to come on Saturday and Sunday. Blink is a "rain or shine event," according to their posts on social media. To stay up to date on how weather might impact Blink, follow @BLINKcincy on Twitter.
