Adam Joseph takes up new role at Sydney Stock Exchange
Summary
APP Securities chief operating officer Adam Joseph is moving to a new role at Sydney Stock Exchange. The Sydney Stock Exchange was spearheaded by George Wang, founder of AIMS Financial, and owner of APP Securities. Wang is deputy chairman of the exchange, which is an alternative listing destination and has sought to encourage greater links between Australia and China. Last year, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission released a report and additional license conditions on the Sydney Stock Exchange after finding it needed to "improve compliance" with its statutory obligations. "These changes include putting adequate arrangements in place to manage conflicts between its commercial interests and the need for it to operate a listing market that is fair, orderly and transparent," ASIC said at the time.
