Ericsson Mulls Launch of Mobile Content Payment Exchange In New Zealand

Ericsson‘s mobile content initiative IPX (Internet Payment Exchange) is a hit in Australia. But the company may look at launching its mobile content payment initiative in New Zeland too. “If we get sufficient interest in New Zealand we could do the same here,” said Ericsson New Zealand’s managing director Brian Phillips. IPX sources content such as ringtones, games and mobile applications from developers and packages it for sale by network operators. In Australia, Optus is an IPX customer.
