Helios Takes to The Sky
Summary
A recent installation of the system into light Cessna aircraft of a flight school has allowed for their monitoring as well as the reviewing of the pilot’s performance. As Cessna planes don’t fly at very high altitudes, they can remain in cellular GSM range for most of the flight, which makes their monitoring easier. Even in the event, the plane exceeds the cellular range for a few seconds, the Helios will continue to work and record the plane’s location and send all the information once the unit reconnects, allowing you to see the plane’s full route. Since the unit sends updated height, longitude and latitude every 30 seconds, it is easier to view the entire progress of the flight and analyze the performance. Good examples were the IoT implementation of Kylos in CropX, the cooperation with Technoton to give Helios the ability to accurately read the fuel level inside tankers, and the project of the defibrillator stations placed in public areas.
