EyeLock Announces NanoAccess System, Greatly Enhancing Biometric Solutions Portfolio

Dubbed ‘NanoAccess’, it’s a web-based solution that is compatible with all of EyeLock’s biometric devices, as well as smartphones and smart watches for mobile access. “Our global sales partners have been looking for an affordable access control solution with biometrics built-in, and we listened to them.” In addition to its support for multiple biometric modalities and mobile authentication options, NanoAccess features support for EyeLock’s ‘Portable Templates’ feature. This enables an administrator to save a given user’s biometric template onto a smart card or mobile device instead of a server, a potentially useful tool for compliance with data protection and privacy regulations such as Europe’s GDPR. NanoAccess would appear to be a natural next step for EyeLock, allowing the company to consolidate its multimodal offerings under a single piece of access management software.
