Quadria Capital invests $90m in Vietnamese mom and baby products retailer Con Cung

Funding Rounds

Summary

Healthcare-focused private equity firm Quadria Capital has invested $90 million in Vietnam’s largest mom and baby retail network Con Cung, according to its statement on Tuesday. While the specific financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, as reported by DealStreetAsia earlier, Quadria would hold a 30% interest in Con Cung through both primary and secondary shares. The new store concept will feature all Con Cung products, a coffee shop, an integrated playground area, and one dedicated floor for infant care, nutrition, obstetrics and gynaecology consulting services. “We recognise the need to expand our retail channels, both online and offline, and create a holistic ecosystem to support mothers and families,” added Minh Nguyen, co-founder and chairman of Con Cung. Con Cung is currently the largest maternity and kid retail network in Vietnam in terms of the number of stores, followed by ACA Investments-backed BiboMart which operates 150 outlets.
