Indian-origin founder’s Saudi fintech Lamaa, proptech Dallali get seed funding
Summary
Lamaa was set up in early 2021 by London-based Indian-origin founder and former investment banker Sumeet Khutale, who moved to Saudi Arabia. Khutale has earlier worked with marquee financial services firms like Barclays Capital and JP Morgan. Lamaa says it seeks to bridge funding gaps for small and medium businesses, whose size is a challenge when it comes to obtaining credit risk ratings. Riyadh-based proptech Dallali has raised its first investment round led by AlRamz Real Estate Company and local angel investors. Founded in 2020 by Ablderahman Elbetairy and Mohamed AlFayez, Dallali offers rental management software that automates listing and leasing processes.
