SG-based POS provider Qashier raises $4.7m from Exor Seeds

When Qashier started in 2019, it provided retailers and restaurants with a POS solution to help them manage both their operations and payments using one sleek device. The fresh fund will be used to expand its presence in Malaysia as well as to invest in product development, sales and marketing. The market demand for smart POS solutions in Southeast Asia is growing rapidly with combined retail sales in the region on track to exceed US$970b in 2021, per a report of Insider Intelligence. “We are excited to partner with Qashier which we believe has significant potential to modernise payments and deliver other value-added services for SMEs in a fast-growing region,” said Noam Ohana, Managing Director of Exor Seeds. Its portfolio is made up of companies in which Exor is the largest shareholder: Ferrari, PartnerRe, Stellantis, CNH Industrial, Juventus FC, The Economist, GEDI Gruppo Editoriale and SHANG XIA.
