Warsaw-based digital healthcare unicorn Docplanner acquires Munich-based Jameda

Docplanner was founded in 2012 in Poland and now boasts a team of more than 1,800 based across offices in Warsaw, Barcelona, Istanbul, Rome, Mexico City, Curitiba and Bologna. The healthcare platform offers tools for patients to find the best physicians, easily book appointments, and see their provider in person or via video consultation. As part of the acquisition, Docplanner will invest significant capital and global expertise into Jameda and will focus on rapidly growing the company’s sales, customer care and marketing teams. Docplanner has big ambitions for Germany and will add more than 200 new team members to Jameda, investing more than a quarter of a billion euros in the German market over the next 2 to 3 years. We are super excited to work with the Jameda team in the years ahead and build even more amazing products for patients and doctors in Germany.” The acquisition marks another entry into a new geography for Docplanner, since they opened local operations in Mexico and Brazil in 2017.
