Sabsik Trojan
Summary
A Trojan is an extremely threatening malware that allows cybercriminals to execute various nefarious actions on compromised targets. Depending on the specific goals of the attackers, Trojan threats can be instructed to collect files carrying sensitive data, stop any running processes that might interfere with the plans of the hackers, spy on the activities performed on the infected machine, or fetch and execute additional harmful payloads. Sometimes, otherwise legitimate applications may include a function or a process that cybersecurity solutions may deem as being too intrusive. While there are no absolute guarantees, users can still try to discern with a high degree of certainty if a false positive has occurred. The longer the Trojan is present on the system, the more opportunities the attackers have to spread further into the organizations network or acquire more private information from their targets.
