SpinCar said it has acquired Pulsar AI, a company in the country of Georgia that has created a conversational artificial intelligence platform for the auto industry. With the acquisition, SpinCar will have 120 employees, including 75 in its office in Icon Tower in downtown Syracuse. Dealers in more than 40 countries use SpinCar’s software to post 360-degree interior and exterior views of the vehicles they have for sale on their lots. The images, which can even be viewed with virtual reality headsets, include touchable “hotspots” that allow consumers to explore key vehicle features in detail. The company received a $22 million investment from a group led by Wavecrest Growth Partners, a Boston-based equity firm, in 2018.
