Customer service start-up eyes global expansion after $6.75m raise
Summary
When COVID-19 broke out last year, Ramsay Health needed a way for inbound patients to communicate whether they were showing symptoms or were ill prior to their appointments. Rather than rely on manual phone calls, Pendula built a way for Ramsay health professionals to message people at intervals before their appointment and discover whether they had a temperature. Much of the last twelve months has been spent building out predefined templates for various industries, giving education organisations an idea of how they can communicate with students, or how other businesses can survey and speak with their customers. Investor MA Financial Group, formerly Moelis Australia, currently manages $5.8 billion in assets and has made several start-up investments in recent times, including educational course creator HowToo. “Deep communications workflow functionality that can be accessed through an easy-to-navigate user interface has resulted in a growing list of impressive customers.” Equity Venture Partners has been invested since 2019.
