Gartner gives Oracle ATP highest ranking

Back in November 2020, Gartner released their report on Critical Capabilities for Cloud Database Management Systems for Operational Use Cases. The report provides context for data and analytics leaders into the Magic Quadrant for Cloud DBMSs. The Use Cases analyzed included: The information was gathered from interactions with Gartner clients during 12 months from July 2019 to June 2020. Financial governance was a new addition to core capabilities this time around, taking into account the challenges of managing costs and dealing with varying pricing models in the cloud. We’ve talked in the past about cost savings examples with Oracle, so the fact that they ranked well is not surprising to us.
