Avelo Airlines (formerly Casino Express Airlines and then Xtra Airways) is an American ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Houston, Texas. The airlines first flight under the Avelo name was on April 28, 2021 from Burbank to Santa Rosa, California. Avelo is certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to conduct domestic and international operations with their fleet of Boeing 737-800 airplanes. Avelo furthermore embraced the offer to outsource the server hosting as well as the operation of the AMOS application server and database administration (AOS) to Swiss-AS. Since early 2018, Swiss-AS offers its customers the possibility to host their AMOS environments in the Google cloud.
