Orion Advisor Agrees to Buy Portfolio Software Provider HiddenLevers

General News

Summary

Orion Advisor Solutions, the asset management platform backed by Genstar Capital and TA Associates, has clinched its first deal since buying Brinker last year. “HiddenLevers goes beyond a single-number risk analysis approach and instead, builds applications that consider a broad palette of potential economic events – essential for protecting the fiduciary sensibility of Orion customers. Our acquisition of HiddenLevers adds significant value for investment committees looking to improve allocation models, and also for advisors looking to mitigate panic selling,” said Eric Clarke, founder and CEO of Orion, in a statement. “We had achieved profitability early on, but we wanted to grow for real now.” HiddenLevers began speaking to bankers in the fall, hiring PJT Partners, Udeshi said. Avinash Patel and Andrew Shapiro of PJT Partners provided financial advice to HiddenLevers, while Morris, Manning, and Martin acted as legal advisor.
