Recently, AetherAI received $6M venture capital funding from Quanta Computer- a provider of design and manufacturing services in hi-tech markets, based in Taiwan. The three of them realizedhow the powerful combination of digital microscopy and artificial intelligence could revolutionize medicine, leading to the foundation of AetherAI. They have also produced, according to their own statement, world’s first model of a microscope for the automatic differential counting of bone marrow smears. It is a microscope model based on artificial intelligence (AI), that could speed up leukaemia diagnosis significantly in the future, as it takes a haematologist at least half an hour to manually count blood cells and classify them, in suspected Leukaemia patients. They blend multi-modality image viewer, annotation tools and deep learning frameworks into its integrative web platform that easily turns data into insight.
