OTTAWA, December 1, 2017 – The Eastern Ontario Region Laboratory Association (EORLA) and Pathcore demonstrated the benefits of live digital microscopy for intra-operative consultations and its benefits for distributed healthcare delivery networks, a project funded by Ontario’s Health Technologies Fund (HTF). The project is evaluating the benefits of telepathology by deploying a robotic digital pathology network for live intra-operative consultations and rapid on-site assessments in the Champlain LHIN. We offer a browser-based platform for managing, viewing, sharing and annotating pathology images as well as all associated metadata and other digital content. In doing this, OCE fosters the training and development of the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs and is a key partner with Ontarios industry, universities, colleges, research hospitals, investors and governments. Funded by the Government of Ontario, the ONE is made up of regional and sector-focused organizations and helps Ontario-based entrepreneurs rapidly grow their company and create jobs.
