Summary
We are excited to announce the commencement of a new opportunity for the public to be actively involved in shaping the future of automated vehicles (AVs). As part of the Innovate-UK and CCAV funded D-Risk project, all members of the public can share their opinions of how automated vehicles should behave during risky, unpredictable events on the road. The D-Risk survey forms an important part of this project – enabling public engagement with the programming software and ensuring real-world data is collected and integrated into the development of future automated vehicle validation technology. The newly launched survey provides an opportunity to: • Share your opinion on vehicle responses to recognisable events on the road. • Expand the library of edge cases – we, the project team, want as many scenarios as possible to feed into AV models to ensure they can respond to anything.
