Finnish startup ReceiptHero raises €2 million seed round to scale digital receipts into new markets

The team have spent the last year building out further integrations into merchant electronic cash registers (ECR) and payment service providers. For merchants they feel safe with ReceiptHero protecting their customer data and payment information,” said co-founder and CEO Joel Ojala. ReceiptHero has been pushing competing offerings to find ways to integrate together, without it feeling like a competitive burden: “There’s over 500 billion transactions globally, where a digital receipt could be generated and passed into a customers bank app, there is definitely enough cake for everyone”, said co-founder and CEO Joel Ojala.
