Django and ReactJs: How I saved USD84 Per Year
Summary
If you host your website free on Heroku platform, you can not map a real domain name. As I have limited visitors to my website, and as Firebase has a good free tier, I can easily save USD 84 by switching from Django to ReactJs per year. So I recreated my website, published the code open-source on GitHub, and saved USD 84 per year by switching from Heroku to Firebase; which completely serves my purpose. When I developed this React based project, I thought let’s try a NoSQL database, and I found Google Firebase Cloud Firestore. I read somewhere that curiosity is more important than being smart.Sometimes people fall in love with a particular library or framework so much that they want to use it to solve any problem.
