Senior Java Software Engineer - US

▤ Summary

• 5+ years of experience with Product Architecture and core software architecture and development patterns • 5+ years of experience with Agile or similar development methodologies • 2+ years of experience with Cloud Technologies (any one of AWS, Azure, GCP) • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication skills with fluent English • BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar discipline • Create and document requirements based on technical conversations towards creating Java and web-based applications • Be ready to learn any and all of the NextGate products • Lead product creation from inception to delivery while working with key members and groups in the company • Learn and maintain a relevant proficiency with Cloud Providers and Cloud Architectures • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations (as deemed necessary) • Demonstrate flexibility, agility and teamwork towards accomplishing assigned projects and tasks at the highest level of quality and timeliness • Maintain an high level of effective communication across the organization • Possibly take over the R&D CI/CD infrastructure and over time work on a plan to modernize it • Work with the NextGate IT staff to setup local systems for testing • Work with the NextGate QA staff towards setting up test environments • Work with the NextGate Documentation staff towards creating user and reference guides • Work with the NextGate Training staff towards creating training guides • Work on any and all additional tasks as assigned by the head of engineering • Open and relaxed work environment that fosters cooperation and excellence To apply, please send resume and cover letter to careers@nextgate.com.
