CAI Announces Investments In Javelin Technologies Inc. and Cimetrix Solutions Inc.

CAI’s investment will facilitate the combination of the two companies which results in the formation of the leading design engineering and additive manufacturing solutions provider in Canada with more than 6,000 customers across the country. The combined company will be known as Javelin and will be headquartered in Oakville, ON with additional offices in Calgary, Dartmouth, Edmonton, Kitchener, Montreal, Oshawa and Winnipeg. CAI has partnered alongside the founders of Javelin and Cimetrix, each of whom has retained a meaningful ownership interest in the combined business. “Ted, John, James and Kirsten have built exceptional businesses that together are extremely well positioned to assist with the ongoing transformation of engineering and manufacturing in Canada.” CAI’s investment in Javelin and Cimetrix marks the third investment in its fifth fund and fits with CAI’s strategy of partnering with and growing founder-owned businesses in the Canadian lower middle market.
