s.Oliver streamlines product development with PLM

General News

Summary

German fashion company s.Oliver has implemented a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution to help reduce lead times by almost half and accelerate the speed at which designers can create new styles by leveraging 3D technology to eliminate samples. Established in 1969, the s.Oliver Group portfolio includes comma, Q/S designed by and Liebeskind Berlin in addition to its namesake brand. It has implemented Centric Softwares PLM system, replacing its legacy solution, which was put into place almost a decade ago. One of the most important requirements for s.Oliver was finding a solution that could not only support its digitalisation plans to reduce lead times by almost half, but to have a system that would increase the pace at which designers can create new styles by leveraging 3D technology to eliminate samples and eradicate time-wasting intermediary activities. "Centric PLM will enable us to achieve all our future plans, especially when it comes to 3D, as Centric 3D Connect seamlessly integrates our existing technology with its innovative system," explains Silke Albuquerque-Fuchs, technology manager for process domain product, purchasing and sourcing at s.Oliver.
