Camera IQ Raises $5M in Additional Series A Funding

Camera IQ, a Los Angeles, CA-based augmented reality platform for camera marketing, raised an additional $5m in Series A funding, bringing its total funding raised to-date to over $14m. The round was led by Shasta Ventures, with participation from existing investors Waverly Capital, Betaworks Ventures, Sway Ventures, as well as new investors Grand Ventures, Space Capital, and Gingerbread Capital. The company intends to use the funds to make key hires in sales and marketing, as well as on product development with a focus on expanding distribution to new platforms. Led by Allison Ferenci, Co-founder and CEO, Camera IQ has just launched a platform that enables brand marketers to drive business objectives while creating, managing and measuring scalable augmented reality (AR) campaigns that reach audiences across social media and streaming platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch, Zoom and more.
