While people in my generation may prefer to pick up the phone and make a call, those in their 20s and 30s would rather chat with a bot than risk being put on hold. Many people prefer chatbots to email or phone calls. That includes FedEx, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and even the Oklahoma Office of Management & Enterprise Services. In my mind, there’s a parallel to an organization having a website or being on social media. Years ago, many organizations in Oklahoma viewed websites as optional.
