BACnet International Releases BACnet Secure Connect Testing Tools

BACnet International has announced the release of the BACnet Secure Connect (BACnet/SC) Reference Implementation and System Test Bench, tools that provide manufacturers with powerful and effective device and system test capabilities. The System Test Bench is a set of configurable tools built on the Reference Implementation that enables rapid creation of network environments with BACnet/SC nodes, hubs and routers to support testing of BACnet/SC devices in various system configurations. “We know there’s a lot of pressure on BAS manufacturers to get BACnet/SC products to market,” stated Andy McMillan, president and managing director of BACnet International. The BACnet standard was developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has been made publicly available so that manufacturers can create interoperable systems of products. BACnet International complements the work of the ASHRAE standards committee and BACnet-related interest groups around the world.
