Like everywhere, COVID-19 hit South Africa hard and face masks were in very short supply. Chillisource was instrumental in adapting their software during the many brainstorming sessions that brought the product, processes and supply chain to a state where mass-production could begin. The nascent ‘Sola Medical’ brand – born from the tragic COVID pandemic – uses the same solution as the parent scuba diving division. All meetings, staff training and supply chain setup took place using Zoom. Primarily an OEM manufacturer of high-end scuba diving equipment, EST has been distributing its products globally since 2009, growing to a team of over 70 people operating from a 2500sqm pristine production facility at Dube Trade Port, South Africa.
