Power Types, Tug, Work boat Pulling power. - RC Groups

▤ Summary

I have a work boat hull half way finished and a drive train pieced together, yet not installed. I understand the principals of pulling and prop thrust from an airplane point of view. These performance numbers are the goal, A twin motor setup is prefered and hull clearence is a non issue, as I have not mounted any drive yet. The other question... Would a short tug, with a shallow draft be able to reach that speed? Should I just register my Kayak as a power boat and go 30 lb thrust trolling motor?
