P-40 Warhawk project - RC Groups

A friend of mine gave me a ‘70s era Top Flite P-40 Warhawk balsa kit. A member of our RC club who works on older kits says it looks fine. I have never built a balsa kit, just many model planes (plastic) when a kid. I want to build and hopefully fly this one day, but I’m looking for websites, this or other forums for advice, dos one don’t, lists of tools to have on hand, etc. My buddy at the club is willing to help me out, but I wanted to ask for the two cents of experienced kit builders.
