Joys and Sorrows 6-29-2020

▤ Summary

One of the things that I enjoyed the most about working in the lab was the fact that we got to see the beginnings of life as well as the endings. I was also in nursing homes, ICUs, and medical floors to witness the decline and death of my patients as well as their recovery from illness or injuries. And in 30 years, I was able to watch these infants grow and develop, go to school, graduate, go to college or get a job, get married and have children of their own. I got to see my patients grow, choose their lifestyle, and proceed down their chosen paths. And, in return, I was allowed to share in their lives, their joys, and their sorrows.
