3" Micro Kite of stick and tissue - RC Groups

Tired of waiting for the wind to stop blowing? Try a micro kite with scraps of balsa and tissue. Interestingly I found out that kite aerodynamics are similar to aircraft and share some terminology such as wing loading, dihedral, and angle of attack. Weight is critical for these small ones. On my next attempt I might try some 1/2 mil mylar which is supposed to be quite a bit lighter than tissue, in order to fly in lighter winds.
