Turbine airframes converted to EDF - RC Groups

Hello to all , Just a question from an long time giant scale war bird guy bitten by the jet bug. I dont see alot of say middle grade edfs out there. Like the top rc cougar or sebart avanti etc. Have many of you out there converted say a sport jet or a scale turbine airframe ? How did you calculate what to use or is just not say feasible in most cases because of weight and the thrust needed.
