Micro Motor Thrust Test Stand Project - RC Groups

General News

Summary

Stiffness was paramount so that no thrust energy was lost bending, flexing or compressing components. Table saw, drill press, hacksaw and a tabletop disc/belt sander were the only tools used (well, also a screwdriver and a hex wrench to assemble). Since I am twiddling my fingers waiting for motors to arrive, I decide to make a proper test stand for thrust tests. The design is loosely based on one I saw somewhere, possible here at RC groups. Stiffness was paramount so that no thrust energy was lost bending, flexing or compressing components.
