How donating for a free Webinar helps educating girls and thereby the climate
Summary
When Holisticon planned the free Webinar series on „Leadership Agility“ with Michael Hamman, we gave the participants the possibility to donate to Plan International, whose „strategy is to work with vulnerable children and especially girls so that they can learn, lead, decide and thrive.“ While trying to become better leaders in our western, privileged world, we often overlook that not everything that we take for granted is readily available for everyone else, especially girls. Today, there are economic, cultural, and safety-related barriers that impede 62 million girls around the world from realising their right to education. Parental pressure to help at home or earn an income means many adolescent girls will be unable to return to school. Educated girls achieve higher wages and greater upward mobility, contributing to economic growth. Education also shores up resilience and equips girls and women to face the impacts of climate change.
