Consolidating your organization’s data silos
Summary
Your return on investment is huge in the long run when consolidating data and implementing a digital strategy. One company I visited with has a vision to streamline down to three silos – which really got me thinking about how valuable each of the three could be to their business needs – and how ready we are to help! To accomplish this, they engaged with EAC for the overall formation of a plan/strategy, then we mapped out a plan with them, they signed off on it, and then we executed their PLM transformation with them. I was on site a few times and our team did their implementation of Windchill and helped them realize their PLM vision. In engineering, we made changes by replacing paper, pencils, and drawing boards with CAD software – but not everyone has kept up or even considered to keep up with the digital transformation that needs to happen…and it’s literally costing companies a lot of money.
