Cyberpunk 2077 will get multiplayer DLC, still on track for Fall 2020

In a bit of good news from Cyberpunk 2077 developer and publisher CD Projekt Red, the Polish company revealed that their wildly anticipated upcoming game will not be delayed due to the global pandemic. While there are certainly plenty of games that are being delayed right now, including all Japanese releases due to the shut down of the country’s rating board, CERO, that Cyberpunk 2077 is currently on track is a shining glimmer of hope. The Witcher 3 has two massive downloadable content packs, Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine, both of which were incredibly well received and were lauded as being large enough to be standalone games unto themselves. If the Polish publisher can garner even a tenth of this, they will see a 500% profit over their near-$100 million development cost. The game, which was supposed to originally be due out on April 16th, was pushed to a Fall 2020 release, though a specific date hasn’t yet been provided.
